Geocledian, founded in 2013, is designing and providing geospatial cloud services for ICT applications in agriculture. The team has expertise in all fields of remote sensing like optical and microwave, active & passive remote sensing as well as vegetation modelling, time series analysis, big data techniques and also ICT system design. Geocledian is enabling its customers to successfully incorporate remote sensing-based services into their operational workflows and ICT systems. Geocledian has been incubated at the ESA-Business Incubation Centre Oberpfaffenhofen (Germany) in 2015, has conducted several EU, ESA and National funded projects and is part of GODAN and the GIZ Expert Group Agriculture of the Strategic Partnership Digital Africa of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Our core product ag|knowledge, is a multi-sensor crop scouting API for mobile and web applications based on open satellite data from Copernicus and other sources. It allows monitoring of crop status, crop health and farmer activities, providing users 50 or more status updates a year. It offers a wide range of data products and integrated crop analytics ranging from multispectral data, various vegetation indices to biophysical crop parameters, crop phenology and anomalies detection supported by machine learning.

Our customers are farm management systems, mobile apps and governments across the world with a customer focus on Europe and Asia. Geocledian has a particular expertise in monitoring services for EU agricultural subsidies management. These services have been integrated by European market leaders in the national Integrated Administration and Control Systems (IACS) e.g. in Germany and Italy. We also assist our customers in service integration, data analytics, business consulting and ICT system design.

Another focus are solutions for smallholder farming in Asia and Africa. In cooperation with partners and supported by the European Space Agency and local NGOs a series of services integrating high resolution weather data with remote sensing derived information has been deployed for India. It supports agro-risk management for all stakeholders in the supply chain, ranging from smallholders to advisory services, contract farming, up to the financial and governmental sector.
