Steinbeis Transfer Management (STM) in Romania was founded 2005 and acts as head office of the growing network of Transfer Centers which is based on partnership agreements with several Romanian universities. In Romania, Steinbeis Transfer Centers (STCs) are established at universities in Alba Iulia, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca (2), Galati and Timisoara. Three more centers are under construction. Steinbeis Centers work as classic business entities with the aim of applying competitive insight, originally acquired through research and development at universities, to specific, market-ready products and services throughout the Steinbeis network. STCs have laid down areas of disciplinary focus and cover a broad spectrum of management and technology fields. The STCs offer deep yet interdisciplinary expertise. STM is a legal independent SME but benefits from direct connections to international network of Steinbeis Centers for technology transfer what was founded in Germany 1972. STM follows the principles and methodology of Steinbeis model Germany. Facts of the entire network (as of 31.12.2018): 1,075 STC; 709 Professors; 3,468 project-based employees; 2,001 employees.

A general objective of STM is to stimulate university-industry collaboration in order to assist enterprises in becoming innovative. STM aims to applying competitive insight, originally acquired through research and development at universities, to specific, market-ready products and services throughout the Steinbeis network.

Competencies in ICT, Agrifood and coordination actions are available in order to be a strong patner what contributes with real added value.

STM and its project team has proven experiences in managing multi-national consortia in EU funded projects and managed major consultancy projects that included reporting to international board level and government secretary state level.

Participation in ICT Agrifood is possible in name of Steinbeis Romania (STM, but also in name of Steinbeis Germany, Austria or Ukraine.
