Institute of Crystallography Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche
Organisation type:
Research institutions
Country:
Italy
Description:
The Biosensor Group within the Institute of Crystallography (CNR) has high experience in the microalgae field and biosensor design for agro-environmental applications: microorganism physiological characterisation, plant physiology, genetics and molecular design/bioinformatics, microorganisms and protein/enzyme biophysical characterisation oriented to the development of smart biosensors.
CNR Biosensor Group is expert in:
Selection and characterization of organisms and proteins/enzymes as bioreceptors for biosensor design;
Development of optical and electrochemical biosensors based on microorganisms and artificial molecules for the detection of agrifood and environmental pollutants
Functionalisation and modification of sensing supports with nanomaterials
Sensor design, prototyping and test in standard solutions and real samples
System Integration solutions for the management and archiving of multimedia and IoT contributions
