Description:

The University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), PIC no. 921767430, was formed as a result of a merger between three regional university colleges. The university has eight campuses located south and west of Oslo, an enrolment of 18.000 students and 1600 employees. The university has a significant regional foundation and a strong presence in one of Norway's most exciting and dynamic regions. The university consists of four faculties that offer eight doctoral programs, 44 master courses, and 88 bachelor courses. At the national level, USN is a coordinator or project partner in most of the significant research and innovation programs in the Research Council of Norway. At the European level, USN participates or coordinates projects funded through Horizon 2020, Eurostars, INTERREG, EEA grants, and COST Actions. USN participates in HEI educational development programs including Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus Plus Strategic Partnerships and Capacity Building, and through projects funded by the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education. USN has experience and competence in coordinating, implementing, and reporting EU funded projects and collaborating with international partners across sectors and cultures.
The agricultural industry is important for the region, and USN are working both with regional authorities and commercial actors in this industry segment. We see this project as an opportunity to enhance collaboration with local actors in the agricultural industry. This is fully aligned with the university strategy to be a regional development actor.
