Contact by mailThe Department of Economics at UNIFG has established in 2018 the “Laboratory of Rural Studies and Multifunctional Agriculture”, an internal scientific structure to promote training, research and third mission actions in favor of businesses and public administrations, in the fields of bioeconomy, agricultural economics and politics, local development economics, internationalization economic policy, cooperation and innovation. The Laboratory mainly operates through the planning of inter-university training and research projects and in collaboration with other research institutes. The laboratory is connected with various regional, national and community subjects, committed to the themes of the rural world. Within its facilities it will be possible to carry out experimental activities on the various possible services / products that can be delivered. Thanks to its mission, the Laboratory will support B-Close contributing to develop and promote the results of the project, to facilitate the dialogue between scientific research and the territory, as well as organizing and promoting tools for the analysis and transfer of innovation. Another relevant Research center and laboratory is the Research center on Economics and Technologies for Energy and the Environment (CESETEA). Recently the Department of Economics has been funded by the Apulia Region for the project “LIFT-IT-UP”, in which it has the role of “Factory” as a cluster involving many public/private entities. The Factory can implement and accompany students, doctors, practitioners, technicians, start-uppers through tailored courses, as well as offering related support services for self-entrepreneurship, self-employment and business acceleration in order to provide the key skills necessary for entrepreneurial growth and business development in the Life Science environment. Moreover, the Department is equipped with offices to carry out all the necessary activities of administrative management and coordination. ICT tools and services are made accessible by the University for the activities of project management and online conferences.
